It’s that time of year again! Wizkids has announced the 2017 rotation, which will be a couple of weeks before Worlds. We lose four major sets, a micro set, the 2014 Monthly OP Kits and the 2013/2014 Con LEs. I will go over what we lost in the format and how that will change the landscape of the metagame. For reference, I will only be talking about the competitive scene and formats, which are 300pt Modern Age and 300pt Modern Age ROC Limited as these are the two formats that are widely played on a competitive level. Older strategies and archetypes will be lost, while new strategies will emerge (especially with the new rules and sets that are coming out!), and we might see some lesser used pieces shoved in the spotlight.
