Big Bang’s 400pt Limited format was dominated by Shredders. Three Shredder-centric teams were in the Top 8, with two in the Top 4, including the winner, Jay Major. Jakeem and Krang were still there, but with an extra 100pts to play with, an additional Shredder could easily fit into a team. Jay beat out Clixed Off host David Gauselman and his Krang team that he has been championing leading up to the event. Four Shredders is more than enough to take down the colossal robot. Congratulations, Jay!
Analysis:
1st Place – Jay Major
Some variation in the Top 8, but the much-hyped Shredder finally took home a win in this tournament. With the deepest dial for the point value in the format right now, these sub-100pt auto-damage dealing Shredders are really a tough out, especially in the 400pt format. Merc With a Mouth has made another good showing, but we have yet to see the Deadpool set really take off. Time will tell if the set can change the landscape of the format.
