Single-Elimination Bracket
Another Super Qualifier and another win for the Prince of the ROC, Easton Brock. This is his 4th SQ win this year and 7th overall. This time Easton piloted a Taskmaster team (much to the cheer of all fanboys) against a Quinjet, piloted by Chase Summers, in the Finals. The field was a mix of old and new with a lot of familiar faces in the Top 8.

Analysis:
With the final tournament before Superior Foes of Spider-Man releases, we still see some diversity. Easton won with a Taskmaster team (though not the first one we have seen), Warren Ginn played a Solaris team (yes, you read that right!), and Josafa Jesus played Radioactive Man. Civil War has made some impact here it seems. You also have the old staples in the Lex Luthor team and Quinjet. Mary Marvel has seen a rise as well, after Tom Kerr’s win last week in Canada, Brett Rae opted to play her to a Top 8 finish as well. What’s interesting is that for the second week in a row, Krang has fallen out of favor. He is still somewhat well-positioned in the format, but as long as Quinjets continue to be played in higher numbers, Krang’s effectiveness will drop as it is an uphill battle against the Quinjet. Next week is the US Cup in Las Vegas, and we should see more innovation as Superior Foes of Spider-Man will be legal.

Solaris did crazy good for me. Ended 5th on points and beat 2 out of 3 quintet teams I faced. Losing to chases quintet in a nail biter. Gonna play it again. Lots of good answers for the big meta teams and it’s suprisingly durable.
do you have a problem with the colossal retaliators? since they are the same size as solaris even if you are yo-yoing they can shoot the colossal retaliator over and retaliate, possibly hit juston as well, and then use an action to attack as well.
then again with 10 range and juston w/ 9 movement you could just snipe them first I think.
