Clarksville had a couple of firsts. They ran their first Super Qualifier. It was also won by Sam Powell, the first female player to win a U.S. Super Qualifier. The field was robust, with a solid 30 players in attendance. The Top 8 was littered with top players, not to mention her other half, Daniel Powell. Her Krang team was able to outlast a field of Krang, Jakeem and Shredders to claim her first Super Qualifier win. Congratulations, Sam!

Analysis:
The field was a heavy tent-pole metagame, with Krang and Jakeems everywhere, not to mention KC pieces like Shazam and Green Lantern. There were a couple of interesting builds, with team-builder extraordinaire Dustin Horad fielding an impressive crew of Devil Dinosaur, Stilt-Man(!), Jokers, and Deadpool. Michael Smith ran a 400pt version of his 300pt Regional-winning team, which utilized the high defenses of Superman and the versatility of Batman. In a format that is pretty set, there are still some innovations.
