Being Competitive as a Lone Wolf

I spend a lot of time writing articles about practicing with or being a part of a team. But sometimes, we don’t have access to these things. Sometimes even the closest venue is too far. Sometimes the only events you attend are a few major tournaments or one or two ROC events. Basically, not all of us can be part of a team or have people to play with regularly. So what do you do in these situations?
