Can’t See the Forest for the Mission Points
For those of you who have read my articles or know me in person, I’m always looking for the alternative in Heroclix. I don’t have any problems with people that want to play their Sky Tyrants and Thanos; it just isn’t for me. So when Mission Points became a thing, it was immediately something that drew my interest. But there was one major problem. Mission point victories are just… so… SLOW! No offense to those that have regaled their stores with tales about Ares hitting every Leadership roll or the Wrecking Crew surviving just long enough to knock over every wall in Asgard; there is a reason that these stories are so captivating. Because they were so rare. Most Mission Point teams are stuck watching the clock and sweating, hoping for a few more turns. Ironically, it was a clock that was sent to save us.
