With a new set out, it’s time for another update on some new, good disguises for Chameleon!
BTAS 023 Kyodai Ken
Kyodai Ken can make for a good early-game play, thanks to his token-giving trait. I could see this seeing play on a Doctor Octopus based Sinister Syndicate team specifically, to prevent opponents from doing much after the initial assault. His combat values are also decent, including defensively.
BTAS 026 Scarecrow
This version of Scarecrow is a Disguise chosen specifically for the late game, if Chameleon has taken some damage. On clicks 3-5, being able to hand out immobile can really disrupt opposing strategies.
BTAS 040 Batman
This version of Batman (at 60 points) has a few tricks that I am specifically interested in, given the current competitive game. Stopping Mastermind is specifically good now, with Starfox and Moondragon chases having it as part of their STOP clicks as the end of their dials. Perplex also helps out Doctor Octopus’ initial 10-Attack, and having the Batarang as another FREE attack to be used after being carried synergizes nicely with Doc Ock.
BTAS 044 Lex Luthor
This version of Lex Luthor provides all the support powers a team could want, besides Probability Control. He even shares a keyword with Doc Ock, to remove tokens off with Leadership! Thanks to his trait, he is also incredibly hard to kill, doubly so thanks to Super Senses and Stealth.
BTAS 059 The Gray Ghost
While The Gray Ghost’s dial doesn’t do much, he is really here for the trait. Being able to stop Devil Dinosaur from making his many pogs is good, as is stopping Groot from flooding the map with Walking Woods. Later in the game, he can come in his Outwit and Perplex click, surprising opponents.
BTAS 071 The Atom
Surprisingly, this version of the Atom is standard sized! He does a lot of good stuff, including Pulse Wave! Also, despite the fact that his special power gives him tiny size, it isn’t active on the sideline, so he can still be used as a disguise even when he would come in on those clicks.
