How big should your theme be? A simple question to state, but a very difficult one to answer. It turns out that a lot of related questions are needed to answer it. It turns out your theme itself doesn’t matter, in terms of your map-roll odds. What matters is your theme net of your opponent’s. You’re +10? If your opponent is +8 then that’s no different than you having 2 against a 0. Thus, ultimately it is the difference that matters, not your absolute theme.
