The Learning Curve – Patience and Efficiency – Patrick Yapjoco

 by Patrick Yapjoco

Often times, I see players go on “autopilot,” so to speak. Meaning, there is a “universal” view on how the game is supposed to be played, which is to attack until you win, or attack until they are KO’d, so they do just that.  While that is true (it’s harder to win if you don’t score points!), patience on your attacks is key, as well as being efficient at it.  In other words, attack only when needed, and don’t attack more than you need to.  You will also need to be patient when planning your next moves.  In the following example, which was taken from an actual Fantastic Four sealed game at the store, we will delve into the minutiae of on-map decisions, and how-to best approach situations similar to this.
