When thinking about Heroclix, I often find I learn some of the most important lessons on general strategy and tactics by learning more about other games. In particular, losing a lot at chess has improved my Heroclix play substantially. There are many principles in chess that apply more generally across turn based strategy, even if not always in the same manner. Today I would like to talk at one of them and it’s with regards to a chess concept called simplifying.
