Even without considering specific figures and resources, it is worth looking at trying to define and understand a variety of “strategies” available to players. To start, I will note the difference in “strategy” and “tactics” for this. A strategy is an overarching modus operandi, a sort of philosophy underlying how you approach a game or match (which can easily change in the middle of a game if the need arises). A tactic is a specific maneuver or set of maneuvers, usually to capitalize on an opportunity that arises, or generate one where it did not previously exist.
