Single-Elimination Bracket
The 3rd tournament of the new format gives us new teams! The top 2 teams are relatively new teams. The Skull Ship has been around before, but that was during the previous format. It is back and Daniel Powell has shown that it is indeed still viable. The Kentucky native has had several strong finishes, and this Runner-Up finish is his best yet. Jonathan’s innovative Green Light team swarmed the field… literally. With two Ant-Man morph figures and the sweet trait that Green Light has, Jonathan’s team has a lot of resiliency. Apex Insiders writer Easton Brock played his new take on an Iceman team to a 3rd Place finish. The format is still forming, but we are starting to see more and more innovation. In the end, Jonathan’s swarm team outlasted Daniel’s tent-pole.

Analysis:
Pandora’s Box seems to the Resource of choice at the moment, but more and more players are trying out the Roundtable/Teleporter, and Easton opted for the Rock of Eternity. We also see some of the standard archetypes like Lex Luthor, Ultron Drone Robots, and Nick Fury teams. An interesting thing to look out for are the Midnight Sons teams that sport Dr. Strange as the tent-pole. More and more of these types of “untargetable” teams are popping up.
