The final stop on the Majestix Open Series event brought us to Youngtown, Arizona. A great venue with a great tournament organizer, this last event brought out the top players from the region. A solid 18 players showed up to test their mettle in the Majestix ROC Age. A lot of great teams were abound, but Nate Ybanez’s Goblin King took home the title, after a couple of good showings from the OMA. Congrats, Nate!
Analysis:
1st Place – Nate Ybanez
The last event did not disappoint. As you can see from the Top 8, it was a varied field, with some archetypes really coming to the forefront, namely Goblin King with Yellow Power Battery. Lydea is proving to be a staple in the format to combat the Resource-based teams, and there was a return of the previous king of a format in Nick Fury. The #1 Seed took on all comers until losing the Lydea in the Top 4. Hulk/Pandora’s Box looks to be a new archetype, and more undying tech in the form of White Battery and Starfox/Shredder. Pluto makes another appearance as well. The format looks to be healthy, and we are on to the ROC World Cup!
