It’s been a looooong time since I played a competitive-level event, so this felt a little different as I had to get “back into the groove” of things. I had helped some players at the store for some events, but I didn’t put my all into it as I didn’t really have an interest in Modern at the time (call me a Negative Nancy, but I don’t like seeing Cosmic all day, all night, every day). When the Infinity Squad (from Phoenix, Arizona) started getting into our Bronze Age format, it snowballed from there, and they have a large contingent of players who love the format. When they announced that they would be running a competitive event with great prizing, I told my guys that we have to support them since they have always supported us in our (still) early days of Bronze Age. When they announced that it was going to be Bronze Age, I wasn’t going to miss this for ANYTHING.
